4D/3N Backpacking Bali : Pura Taman Ayun (Part 1)

Pura Taman Ayun is a temple complex located in the district of Mengwi, central Bali. The name Pura Taman Ayun means the "Temple of the Beautiful Gardens". True to its name, the temple is surrounded by a moat with lotuses and a vast garden with frangipanis all around. Pura Taman Ayun consists of a forecourt, a central court and a spacious inner court.

We visited Pura Taman Ayun on our second day in Bali, after visiting Pura Luhur Tanah Lot in the morning. The entrance fee is Rp 30,000 per person and you can stay as long as you want there. Being there gives me a sense of peacefulness. The fragrant scent of the frangipanis and soothing serenade of the cicadas put me at ease while I explored the temple. I took a lot of photos while I was there. Below are some for your viewing pleasure.
